I love the beginning of things. The start of a fresh new season in life, in work, and in relationships. The beginning brings an expectancy for the best to be the final outcome. A day you say I Do is the beginning of a grand new adventure. A life of wonder, excitement, love and joy comes on the beginnings of saying YES to a journey together.
A wedding though is what it is just the beginning. A marriage is the adventure, it is taking it day by day to choose to love in the valley and the mountain. Yes, a wedding day is just the start to the rest of a life together but it is the process of growing, learning and loving that makes it worth it.
Whitney & Zach’s day was a beautiful beginning to our 2016 year. Almost a week away from their day Whitney & I were both worried about the potential yuckiness of rain dampening our first look and bridal party shots. I adore a bride who values the importance of the elements that create a beautiful shot. Whitney was one that wanted the best elements for photos to be a part of the day, which included natural outdoor portraits. With lots of prayers, and a crazy Louisiana weather shift the day came about to be sunny with some overcast clouds but no rain in site!
Whitney and Zach are those two who look upon the beginnings of life as something to be tackled with persistence, faith, joy and a bit of goofiness. They love deeply those who surround them in their community, and share the love of Christ, that ultimately brought them together, whenever they get an opportunity. Thank you guys for trusting me with this beginning in your lives, for allowing Unveiled Radiance to be a special part of this day. A day that is just the beginning of many empty pages yet to be filled in your story. May your marriage be blessed and favored with days of laughter, spontaneous dancing, road-trips, late night conversations of dreaming, and a fulfillment in the foundations of your steady faith.
