Stephanie & Dustin have been on an adventure with Me as their photographer! From our first hangout at their engagement session back in the fall of 2014 until Stephanie’s bridals they are a couple who take life at the helm. Whatever life brings they answer back with a resounding YES, WE CAN DO THIS!
Stephanie is an avid Disney fan (which automatically brought us together) so for engagements we wanted to release Chinese lanterns and create an almost just as close as possible to the scene from Tangled as we could… unfortunately lighting them became a whole other story! We were pretty sure we were going to end up on the news as having created the biggest pasture fire Louisiana had ever seen! Then for Stephanie’s bridals we had to jump over an iron gate toting all our equipment and bridal gown in tow!
To say these two don’t have excitement in their life is an understatement! So why not for their wedding would a downpour of storms come rushing in about an hour before the ceremony was to take place. But as most people known marriage and life is just like the weather we can’t control circumstances only how we react to them. Stephanie and Dustin’s love is foundational in respect, adoration, faith and fun so they took all of these into building the future they wanted together starting with an epic wedding day! With no hopes of rain to really stop Stephanie in such gusto for life said “let’s do it, let’s just get married in the rain”. So they moved the ceremony itself and the guests under the porch but Stephanie in a classic Disney princess moment strutted across the lawn of Brandon Hall with umbrella and dad in hand to meet her prince charming at the altar! And when I say she was brave imagine leaping over mud puddles in a huge organza tulle gown and never missing a beat!
I loved absolutely everything about this day it was a Southern Soiree of detailed bliss and a romantic touch of rain just to top it off! Plus what photographer doesn’t love a couple who is all about jumping in the rain for photos after??? Seriously I could have died then and been happy! This day was one to remember and I am so thankful to you guys for choosing me to adventure on this journey with! I love your spirit your joy and mostly your love for one another where laughter is abundant and its never ever dull with either of you!
