Fate plays a hand in our daily lives. Fate, it’s called by some, for others destiny or providence, and then there are those who believe in a bigger master at play. Whatever we call this Fate, it is present among our journey’s in life. A creative novelist to the stories we live. Stories where the hero saves the day, a family is reunited after lost time, and the prince gets the princess after defeating immeasurable trials and troubles.
She was from Virginia. He was from Tennessee.
A move for Katie meant leaving what she had known her whole life, but felt led by her faith and belief God was stirring her to Tennessee, and she made her way to begin a new part of her story, never realizing she would collide with her future and best friend in the midst of it.
Katie & Michael fell in love out of friendship and faith, they were engaged in the beauty of a Tennessee fall day at a pumpkin patch. Katie loves all things Fall, so Michael knew it would be the perfect place to ask Katie, the woman he never expected but God surprised him with in the sweetest of fates. A year later of their engagement Michael and Katie planned a beautiful October wedding in downtown Chattanooga at Lindsay Street Hall, a restored Century’s old church in the heart of the city where they found love, joy and a soul mate exceedingly abundantly more than they could ask for.
A detailed full day of Marsala wine, cream, blush and gold’s it was an exquisite Southern organic and simple wedding with touches of rustic romance and urban chic. The thought and attention to even the smallest of details like the Spiderman peeking out of the back of the couple’s wedding cake to the must have coffee bar the two coffee addicts had to have; it was a day Fate crafted in such care and joy. They are the third couple that I have had the chance to shoot their wedding out of a group of close friends of mine who moved to Tennessee and in these Louisiana friends moving, I had the chance to create amazing friendships with their friends in Tennessee. These connections coming out of those relationships led to the honor of meeting some amazing couples who have become precious dear friends to my heart. Michael & Katie you two are special, your love for one another exudes joy, respect, honor and adventure. Fate, Destiny, Providence are all entwined into one surety, Jesus was the center, the final creative master in this story and I pray He continues to be at the center of all you two get to do together! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this fun ride with you both and I hope these bring you happiness for decades to come!
