I met Meg at a photography workshop in Dallas last summer in the middle of July. I was super nervous about getting to attend a one-day workshop with JasmineStar. She happens to be the incredible photographer I started following when I was getting interested in photography and has an amazing teaching gift to share her wisdom and techniques with other photographers. She hosted a one day shop in Dallas for a group of about 12 women. One happened to be this bubbly, bright sharp-witted blonde named Meg. She also happened to be from Louisiana. I instantly found our common threads and from then on in we chatted the entire day, we talked over our fears and strengths in business, her life as a teacher in Texas, and her sweet beau named Reese. We ate dinner and I knew I had made a beautiful friend for life!
Fast track a couple of months later and I got an email of Meg’s exciting engagement news to her sweetheart Reese! She was super interested in having me shoot her day and to be honest I was so nerve wrecked and pressured for another talented photographer to pick me out of all the ones she could have chosen! I was so honored and immediately we got her wedding in the books!
Reese and Meg had a gorgeous downtown wedding at First Baptist in Shreveport and an incredibly detailed reception at the Scottish Rite Temple. Meg being a photographer made the day flow so easily she had everything she knew I would need down to the T! The details of the day were crafted wonderfully by Meg with touches of gold, blush and black and white it was a classy affair capped off with a country cover band that had the guests dancing the night away!
Meg and Reese you are two of a kind. You are a dream couple whose love is clear in all you do and whose love for life and adventure make you so much fun to be around! Thank you for allowing me on this journey with you. I wish you both the most wonderful life ahead with joy, laughter, dancing, spontaneous road trips, and most of all that Christ would bless all you do as you do life together with each other!
